With the aim of celebrating the first decade of existence in the best possible way, the Orquestra Jazz de Leiria challenged all guests to participate in this first album, which it named “Dez”, and with which it intends to leave its mark. in the history of music in Portugal.
“Dez” has the guests David Fonseca, Luísa Sobral, Aurea, Maria João, Pedro Abrunhosa, Ana Bacalhau, Vânia Fernandes, Camané, Jorge Palma, Pedro Moreira, Miguel Araújo, Tomás Pimentel, Herman José and António Zambujo, and contains a unpublished theme, written by David Fonseca and arranged by César Cardoso, which is the single from the disc.
The repertoire on the album is based on original music, Portuguese music and Jazz Standards, all of them with arrangements made specifically for the Leiria Jazz Orchestra by César Cardoso and Pedro Nobre.
