Orquestra Jazz de Leiria (OJL), a project by the musician César Cardoso, emerged in February 2011 with the aim of creating a quality training that brought together musicians from the region who dedicated themselves to the practice of this style of music.
Throughout its existence, the orchestra has produced and performed dozens of concerts, many of them with special guests, from the most varied areas of Portuguese music. These concerts were specifically and individually prepared for each of the invited artists, who saw their music “rewritten”, adapted and arranged in the context of “Big Band”.
