The Big Band of the Hot Club de Portugal emerged in 1991, bringing together some of the best national jazz musicians. In 2015, he presented the repertoire of António Pinho Vargas at Teatro São Luís, whose criticism was so positive that it led the Orchestra to publish, in early 2017, the album “A Dança dos Pássaros”, with arrangements by musicians from the Orchestra, namely Tomás Pimentel, Luís Cunha, Óscar Graça and César Cardoso, HOT record label edition. Album presented on the 28th of January at a concert at the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval. This repertoire has been presented throughout the country and will certainly contribute to the music of António Pinho Vargas continuing to be a fundamental part of Portuguese musical culture.
