2020 Review

2020 was undoubtedly an atypical year, and for those who try to overcome it year after year, it was a severe blow.
I released my new album “Dice of Tenors”, in the Covid pandemic and state of emergency, a record from which I have received good criticism, and had the opportunity to present it at one of the biggest Jazz festivals in the country, Guimarães Jazz, and also at the Festival O Jazz Tem Voz. ????
During the state of emergency, I competed in an International Composition Contest for Big Band and Clarinet and had the honor of winning the first prize.
In addition, I still had the privilege of doing another concert of the Orquestra Jazz de Leiria with the great Miguel Araújo in a cycle of concerts that has been going on for a long time.
It could have been a better 2020, with many more concerts canceled or postponed, but I can’t complain, despite everything it was a productive year.
